Rosés for Spring

“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking!” quips Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada…  Yet, here we are with some of our top Rosés to try now that the weather is finally starting to act a little more Spring-like!

Starting with Pasquiers Rosé, a firm favourite and great-value option from the Languedoc where tangy red berries burst from the Grenache and meld with gentle spice from Cinsault before a dry, fresh finish. (£9.50)

Or, how about a little sparkle? Our range of English sparkling wine has grown considerably recently and the Brut Rosé from Dorset-based Furleigh Estate offers delicate aromas of wild strawberries and white peach. On the palate, fresh summer berries including cranberry and redcurrant meet stone fruits; nectarine and wild apricot. It has layers of complexity with citrus acidity and notable minerality. (£39)

Finally, a stunner from the Basque Country… Meet Gaintza Txakolina Rosé which is traditionally poured from a height to activate its characteristic spritz! There are red fruit aromas with fresh, intense notes of wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry. The wine has a light alcohol content and soft, fresh expressiveness which enhances the qualities of the local red grape. (£21)
