Torabhaig Taigh is the first permanent, core range single malt Scotch whisky released by the Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye. Launched in 2026, it transitions the distillery from its experimental “Legacy Series” into a mature, repeatable house style. Named after the Scottish Gaelic word for “house” (pronounced tai), it embodies Torabhaig’s signature “Smoke with Taste” philosophy—delivering an elegant, fruit-forward peated profile rather than a dominant, aggressive smoke.

Unlike standard peated island whiskies, Taigh utilizes a unique three-cask recipe to soften and balance its heavily peated spirit: First-Fill Bourbon Barrels: The structural backbone, injecting core notes of rich vanilla, sweet honey, and gentle spice.Refill Bourbon Casks: Allows the natural coastal, briny distillery character to shine through without over-oaking.Madeira Wine Casks: Adds a softening, rounded fruit weight, complexity, and warmth to the finish.
