Raventós i Blanc is an exceptionally historic Catalan estate based in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Spain, universally celebrated for producing some of the most terroir-driven, mineral-focused sparkling wines in Europe. While the family’s viticultural tradition dates back to 1497, the modern winery was established in 1986 by Josep Maria Raventós i Blanc after he left the prominent Cava house Codorníu.

The estate represents a pinnacle of traditional-method Spanish sparkling wine. Notably, in 2012, current leader Pepe Raventós (representing the 21st generation) boldly withdrew the winery from the Cava DO appellation. He did this to create a stricter, terroir-focused geographic designation known as Conca del Riu Anoia, which mandates certified biodynamic farming, 100% indigenous grapes, and minimum ageing requirements to truly capture their ancient chalky soils.
