Tasting Notes
Maison Ventenac ‘Coup de Sang’ Rouge: Maison Ventenac “Coup de Sang” is a bold, zero-sulfite natural red wine produced in the Cabardès AOC of Languedoc-Roussillon, France. Crafted by third-generation winemakers Stéphanie and Olivier Ramé, the name translates to a “fit of rage”—born out of the winemaker’s frustration with boring, over-extracted Cabernets.
Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Cabernet Franc (50%). This region is unique for legally requiring a blend of Atlantic (Cabernet) and Mediterranean grape varieties.
Driven by prominent aromas of ripe pepper, succulent blackcurrant, and brambly earth, with a round, silky mouthfeel and soft tannins.
