Tasting Notes
The German wine label “Scheu aber Geil” by the Emil Bauer & Söhne winery translates to English as “Shy but Awesome” or, more provocatively, “Shy but Horny”.
A double-meaning. It literally means “Shy” in German, but it also pays homage to Georg Scheu, the viticulturalist who created the grape variety in 1916.
Bold and punchy with notes of blackcurrant (cassis), lime, grapefruit, and mandarin, backed by a crisp, refreshing, and mineral finish.
