Tasting Notes
Le Cochon Volant Rouge (“The Flying Pig”) is an organic Languedoc AOP red wine produced by the historic estate Château de Caraguilhes, located in the rugged Corbières region of southern France. The playful name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the wild boars (les sangliers) that roam the vineyards and eat the grapes just before harvest—since the words for “stealing” and “flying” share the same root in French (voler), the winemakers famously decided to turn them into flying pigs rather than thieves.
