Tasting Notes

Centopassi Rosso refers to the organic Sicilian red wines produced by Centopassi, the winemaking soul of the Libera Terra social cooperative.

A blend made of 70% Nero d’Avola and 30% Perricone.

The name Centopassi (“One Hundred Steps”) carries deep cultural and social significance.

Anti-Mafia Mission: The cooperative cultivates vineyards located on the high Belice Corleonese Plateau near Palermo, using land confiscated from the Mafia.

The Tribute: The name honours Giuseppe “Peppino” Impastato, an anti-Mafia activist assassinated in 1978. One hundred steps separated his family home from that of a local Mafia boss.
