Tasting Notes

Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is widely considered a benchmark expression of one of Italy’s finest and most robust red wines. Crafted by the historic Allegrini estate in Veneto, this wine balances massive power, structural depth, and modern elegance through the traditional meticulous drying of native grapes.

Hand-harvested bunches of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta are grown in the hillside vineyards of the Valpolicella Classico zone.

Grapes are air-dried for 3 to 4 months in a climate-controlled facility, losing 40% to 45% of their original weight. This concentrates sugars, acids, and aromatic compounds intensely.

Highly complex and intense, layering notes of stewed prunes, black cherries, blood orange peel, liquorice, and bay leaf with sweet baking spices, tobacco, and cocoa.
