Tasting Notes

“Senhor Rita” (specifically Senhor Rita Mar) is an intriguing, premium red wine produced by Adega Belém Urban Winery, a small-scale, low-intervention boutique winery tucked away in a converted auto repair shop in Lisbon’s historic Belém district.

Once brought back to the urban cellar in Belém, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeasts.

The wine is aged for 20 months in neutral, renewed French oak barrels to preserve its vibrant fruit profile without overwhelming it with oak.

Medium-bodied and fresh with a balanced acidity, offering a smooth yet pleasantly rustic finish with hints of rich smoke.
