Tasting Notes

Château Pesquié “974” Viognier is an exceptional French white wine produced by the Chaudière family at Château Pesquié, an estate located at the foothills of Mont Ventoux in the Southeastern Rhône Valley. It typically balances around 13% ABV and is highly regarded for offering incredible freshness and varietal typicity.

The name “974” pays direct homage to the D974, the famously steep road that cyclists climb to reach the summit of Mont Ventoux during the Tour de France. While the brutal slopes and fierce alpine-Mediterranean winds are a nightmare for cyclists, they create an optimal cooler microclimate that allows these Viognier grapes to preserve their lively acidity.
