Amores, Verde

Tasting Notes

Mezcal Amores Verde Momento (also known as Mezcal Verde) is an artisanal, sustainably minded Mexican mezcal crafted specifically with cocktails and younger consumers in mind. Produced by Mezcal Amaras / Amores at their craft distillery in Tlacolula, Oaxaca, this 42% ABV spirit stands out for its ultra-modern aesthetic and strong ethical philosophy.

It features a medium-bodied, creamy texture with tasting notes of fresh grass, soft wood smoke, white peach, pineapple, and herbal undertones. It offers a lingering smoky finish without an overwhelming alcohol burn.

They enforce a strict agave replanting policy, ensuring 10 new agaves are planted for every single one harvested. They pay local farmers and distillers 20% over the standard market rate for raw materials and labor. The company is carbon-neutral and reinvests 15% of its net profits back into local ecological and social sustainability projects.
